Production Material Handler – Non Conformance Focus

Job Description

Essential Job Functions:

  • Non-Conformance Coordination:
    • Understand and follow the non-conforming material process.
    • Coordinate with the Quality team to route, track, and manage non-conforming parts.
    • Physically move materials to designated areas for review and disposition.
    • Interpret quality dispositions and take appropriate actions in alignment with procedures.
    • Collaborate with Order Services, Sales, and Warehouse teams to process RMAs from customers.
  • Material Handling & Evaluation Projects:
    • Transport materials from the warehouse to the production floor for evaluation.
    • Create evaluation projects and update forms with required materials and information for repairs.
    • Close out projects upon final disposition and communicate outcomes to relevant departments.
    • Will have a fiduciary responsibility for inventory and will work with management and finance on material disposition, MRB, and RMA activities.
  • Inventory & Production Support:
    • Perform cycle counts in assigned areas to maintain accurate inventory records.
    • Pick production orders and deliver materials to the manufacturing floor.
    • Restock packaging areas and ensure material availability for production needs.
    • Operate pallet jacks, carts, and other material handling equipment (with training).
    • Assist in other work areas as needed to support operational flow.

Physical Requirements:

  • Standing or sitting for extended periods – approximately 75% standing.
  • Climbing activities as needed – approximately 5% daily.
  • Lifting and carrying materials up to 50 lbs as required – approximately 20% daily.

 

Non-essential Job Functions:

  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

 

Working Environment: Warehouse and Manufacturing work, prolonged standing at times. Air-conditioned Plant.

 

Qualification Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training a plus.
  • Previous experience in material handling, warehouse operations, or quality processes preferred.
  • Knowledge of Inventory Control Systems
  • Understanding of non-conforming material procedures and RMA processes a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across multiple departments.
  • Basic computer skills (inventory systems, spreadsheets, email).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate material handling equipment safely.

Pay Range: $20-$23 per hour plus incentive
