Job Description: The Business Development Representative will play a key supporting role in validating market demand and uncovering new opportunities for both new products and contract manufacturing services. Working closely with the Product Management team—who will drive overall go-to-market strategy—the BDR will execute targeted outreach campaigns, gather customer insights, and generate qualified leads. This position will focus on identifying high-potential customers, nurturing early-stage relationships, and surfacing viable product and project opportunities. Success will be measured by lead quality, responsiveness to outreach, and actionable market intelligence delivered to internal teams.
Job Responsibilities:
Essential Job Functions:
- Execute proactive outreach campaigns to new and inactive customers, as directed by Product Management strategies.
- Coordinate with Product Management and Marketing to support go-to-market activities such as email campaigns, product announcements/research, and promotional outreach.
- Qualify and develop leads generated through marketing initiatives, trade shows, and inbound interest.
- Assist in identifying and developing opportunities for new products and contract manufacturing services.
- Promote complementary offerings to increase revenue across accounts.
- Process RFPs, quotes, and orders as required to move opportunities forward.
- Schedule and support field visits to strategic accounts to build rapport and gather insights.
- Collaborate with Customer Service, Purchasing, Product Managers, and Credit to support customer engagement and resolve issues.
- Analyze account performance and customer behavior relative to forecasts and growth objectives.
- Collect and share competitive intelligence (e.g., pricing, product comparisons) with internal stakeholders.
- Attend and participate in relevant sales training, internal briefings, and planning sessions.
- Support the preparation of reports, forecasts, and budgets as needed.
- Act as a first point of contact for technical inquiries, coordinating with Product Management Engineering to respond appropriately.
Non-essential Job Functions:
- Basic understanding of electronics, manufacturing processes, or power conversion technologies is a plus.
- Experience or familiarity with industries such as data centers, transportation, marine, or broadcast is beneficial.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage project-based tasks.
- Self-motivated with a desire to grow within a technical sales or product development environment.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; technical or business-related disciplines are helpful but not required.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Working Environment: Office and direct customer contact.
Qualification Requirements: Qualified candidates will have 2–4 years of relevant experience and a strong interest in and ability to quickly learn about technical products used in broadcast, industrial, avionics, and marine applications. A degree in engineering or another technical-related field is helpful but not essential. A strong desire to be in sales—with the opportunity to grow within an organization based on performance—is critical. Candidates must be highly motivated with excellent communication skills.

Pay Range: $80,000 to $95,000 per year
